The Women’s Timeline has been developed by AWAVA with financial assistance from the Australian Government Office For Women in the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA).

How to use this site

To move in the timeline, you can either use the horizontal scroll bar on the bottom of your browser or hover your mouse in the middle of the screen at either side of your browser window (far left or right) and the screen will start scrolling through time.

Click on each event to get more information about it.

If you are interested in a particular subject area, you can pull down the SHOW button and choose categories you are interested in.  Please note that we will be adding more categories as we add more events to our timeline.
