Conference of Indigenous women

1989 Finding Common Ground

In July 1989 the First International Indigenous Women’s Conference was held in Adelaide.

The conference was attended by delegates from all States and Territories of Australia and 16 other countries including New Zealand, the United States, Sámi land / Norway, Canada, Palestine and France. (Source Government of South Australia, State Library of South Australia).
